Surrender will be the final breath of contempt,
God will be celebrated around the world,
Except for the last gasp of hate from pride,
His weapons are broken by God’s love,
The voice of hope silencing destruction’s scowl,
The final stuttering, of “but”,
Will face the consequences of rejecting love.
I find myself caught in the embrace of heaven,
Protected from the God’s response to evil,
Grace is the beautiful presence of trust,
That is my shelter from pride’s deserved rebuke,
My heart belongs to eternal trust,
My life caught up in his beautiful promise,
Protecting me and my family from trouble,
Even in the midst of desolations,
Fear can’t be used as a weapon any more,
Courage is the gift that belongs to me,
That finds my broken heart and brings healing,
To face the what seeks to threaten hope,
Surrounding my life with an eternal hallelujah.
